Shipping & Live Arrival Guarantee

Every culture is packed by hand in Cornwall and sent by next-day courier, so it spends as little time in transit as possible.

Where we ship

UK mainland only. We can't currently ship to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, or outside the UK. Collection near Truro may be possible by arrangement: just email us.

Dispatch days

• We dispatch Monday to Wednesday only, so parcels never sit in a depot over the weekend.
• Orders placed Thursday to Sunday are posted the following Monday.
• You'll get an email with your tracking number when your parcel leaves us.

Weather holds

Live animals don't cope well with extremes. If the forecast along the route is below about 3 °C or above about 28 °C, we'll hold your order and email you. In cooler months we add a heat pack at no extra cost. You can also ask us to hold an order until you're home.

Packaging

Isopods travel in a ventilated tub with damp moss, leaf litter and bark, inside an insulated box. Millipedes are packed individually.

Delivery cost

A flat £7.95 per order for next-day courier, shown at checkout.

Live Arrival Guarantee

We guarantee live arrival as long as someone is home to receive the parcel on the delivery day and the address is correct. If anything arrives dead:

• Take a clear photo of the animals in the unopened tub, with the shipping label visible.
• Email it to hello@kernowisopods.com within 2 hours of delivery.
• We'll replace the losses on the next dispatch day, or refund them if we're out of stock.

The guarantee doesn't cover parcels left with neighbours or in safe places at your request, failed deliveries because nobody was in, or delays caused by an incorrect address.
