Rare Isopods for Sale UK
The showpieces. These are the morphs and species collectors hunt for: striking colours, unusual shapes and limited availability, all captive-bred in our own colonies in Cornwall.
Rare species are usually slower to breed and a little less forgiving, so they suit keepers who've already kept a hardy species. Stock is limited and released in small batches as colonies allow. Follow us on Instagram to hear about new releases first.

Questions
Why are some isopods so expensive?
Rare morphs breed slowly and there are few established colonies in the UK, so supply is limited. Prices settle as more keepers breed them.
Are rare isopods harder to keep?
Often a little. Most need stable warmth, a reliable damp area and good airflow. Read our Cubaris care guide before buying.
Do you ship rare isopods in winter?
Yes, by next-day courier with a free heat pack in cooler months. We hold orders if the forecast is below about 3 °C.
